A spooky savoury snack for Halloween…
Broccoli and Rice Cakes is back. And we’re baking! In celebration of A-L’s 3rd birthday, this recipe uses three types of strawberry to make a fruity and flavoursome treat. Happy Birthday A-L xx
In search of healthy savoury snacks for me and my toddler, I was inspired to make this savoury version of a granola. It uses store cupboard ingredients and nutritional yeast flakes (which I came across in my new year’s cupboard cleaning mission) to make a snack that can be nibbled on at any time of day. It is highly nutritious and pleased both me and my little lady.
These savoury muffins are a great way to sneak some veggies into your children’s snack-time. They are cheesy, incredibly more-ish and kids seem to love them (parents are also partial to a few).
Here is a version of the classic date slice: juicy dates sandwiched between two layers of oaty, buttery crumble but without refined sugar and with added linseed goodness. This slice is a wholesome treat to delight the little people and other dried fruit enthusiasts.
This is my kind of fruit loaf: jam packed with juicy berries, no added sugar or fat, super easy to make and soooo good with a cup of tea. The recipe has a secret ingredient which gives the loaf a wonderfully sweet and fruity tang. Your little people will love this loaf too, satisfying even the most raisin-obsessed toddlers.
My latest cake creation is especially for my daughter, to celebrate her second birthday. Yey! I needed to create a cake that A-L could share with her friends at nursery whilst not inflicting sugar infused chaos on the nursery staff. Thus, I developed this Chocolate, Orange and Prune Cake. It is a wonderful chocolatey, fruity and zesty cake and without refined sugar or other nasties. We all loved it. Happy Birthday A-L xx
These Tahini and Honey Biscuits have a flavour which reminds me of peanut brittle. They are really yummy! The biscuits make a nice treat because they contain the wonderfully nutritious tahini and are only sweetened with honey.
This lentil lasagne is tasty, substantial and healthy. It is perfect for freezing and easy to put together. I have been making it for many years and it always seems to be a crowd pleaser…
Made with pineapple, banana and coconut, these cookies bring rays of sunshine into grey days. They are sweet, fruity and juicy but without refined sugar or any hidden nasties. Enjoy!
